Peer 2 Peer Outreach Program: Feeding the Forgotten Impact Report

Introduction:
Peer 2 Peer Whole Wellness Outreach Program’s “Feeding the Forgotten” initiative is committed to providing support to individuals in need. In addition to providing healthy meals, the program also provides clothing and hygiene kits to those who need them. The program feeds an average of 200 individuals twice a month, which translates to approximately 4,800 meals served annually.

Demographic Profile:
Of those served by the program, 19.7% are veterans, 56.1% are African Americans, 27.2% are white, and 17.2% are Hispanic. 74.5% are male and 23.4% are female. In terms of age groups, 27.3% are between the ages of 55-65, 31.5% are between the ages of 45-55, 18.9% are between the ages of 35-45, and 10.9% are between the ages of 25-35.

Impact:
The “Feeding the Forgotten” initiative has had a positive impact on the lives of those it serves. In addition to providing healthy meals, the program provides clothing and hygiene kits to those in need. This has helped to improve the overall health and well-being of program participants.

The provision of clothing has helped to address one of the most basic needs of individuals experiencing homelessness or financial hardship. Many of those who attend the program have reported feeling more comfortable and confident in their clothing, which has improved their sense of self-worth and overall well-being.

The hygiene kits provided by the program have also had a significant impact on the lives of program participants. By providing basic hygiene items, such as soap, toothpaste, and shampoo, the program has helped to improve the health and hygiene of those it serves. Many individuals have reported feeling cleaner and more comfortable as a result of the program’s hygiene kit distribution.

Peer 2 Peer Whole Wellness Outreach Program’s “Feeding the Forgotten” initiative has made a significant impact on the lives of those it serves. By providing healthy meals, clothing, and hygiene kits, the program has helped to address some of the most basic needs of individuals experiencing homelessness or financial hardship.
